London-based father of two, Tom Shakir brings together fashion, culture, technology, and wellness to reimagine how AI connects with humanity. His journey began at London College of Fashion, UAL, where he worked with Mohied Dahabieh for global iconic publications, cultural icons, brands, and artists as an editorial fashion, music, and youth culture photographer, assistant, artist liaison, and promoter—funding his way through his 20s.
Those years revealed a fundamental truth: connection, culture, and emotional authenticity are the missing pieces in today’s digital world. That insight became the foundation of NYSACX.
Around 2010, Tom relocated to Australia, leading a freemium weekly travel and music street press for expats. Over the next decade, he facilitated interviews with over 600 artists, growing the magazine to a peak of 200,000+ niche readers. From 2012 to 2020, he ran a boutique marketing agency, supporting clients from Sri Lanka’s largest wine and spirits retailer to startups, SMEs, and Gen Z-led businesses.
Today, Tom leads a mission to ensure AI doesn’t just process data—it understands and respects the emotional truth of human experience.
Chris Pile - CTO / Founder
Asia based runner, foodie, and occasional DJ, building AI-native platforms that transform how regulated industries innovate at speed—with a belief that the best technology doesn't just think faster, it understands deeper.
My journey started in technology leadership across three continents—Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe—where I learned that the hardest problems in tech aren't technical. They're cultural, organizational, and deeply human. Over 25 years, I've built and scaled technology teams in environments where most people said it couldn't be done. At Reinsurance Group of America (RGA), I built their regional technology capability from zero to 80 staff as Regional Head of Technology, creating the infrastructure for a multi-billion dollar reinsurance operation across APAC. At Insurance Australia Group (IAG), I ran their Innovation Lab (IAG Firemark Labs), launching new ventures and products for Australia's largest general insurer.
These experiences taught me that innovation isn't about having the best technology—it's about moving fast in slow industries while keeping humans at the center. The real breakthrough happens when technology amplifies human judgment rather than replacing it, when AI understands context and emotional truth, not just data patterns. Today, as a Fractional CTO and cofounder of NYSACX, I partner with founders and enterprises to ship AI-native products that bridge human emotional intelligence with machine decision-making, building systems that move at startup speed while respecting the complexity of how people actually work and think.
